Niagara Volleyball Camps are designed with the specific focus on player development & fun!

The instruction offered will help improve the fundamental skills of the sport.  Helping athletes develop a better understanding of the different systems & concepts of the game is our main focus.

Instruction will be led by our Niagara Sport & Social Club Youth Development Coaching Staff.

We offer day camps and clinics for a variety of ages and skill levels. Camps take place at our indoor Welland location: 1100 Niagara street, Welland.

Features include 40' high ceilings, sport courts, Mikasa official game balls, and pre-set up nets.

Summer Niagara Volleyball Camps

An indoor 5-day camp that runs in August.

Levels: There are 4 levels to choose from: Grades 5-6, grades 7-8, grades 9-10, and grades 11-12.

This camp focuses on the basics skills necessary to develop players from the ground up. We focus on passing, setting, serving (underhand and overhand), and attacking. Instruction all includes teaching proper rotation and introduction to the roles and responsibilities of the various positions on the court.   Players who are considering playing at the next level, like trying out for a travel team, will know what to expect and can be better prepared for tryouts.

This camp is excellent for beginners who want to learn the game and improve their skills.   Registration is open to both male and female athletes regardless of current skills and abilities. The coaching staff ensure the kids are having lots of fun while developing their skills. Players leave feeling more confident in their play.  Our volleyball camps create opportunities to make new friends while having fun playing the sport.  During lunch replay  videos of some of the top teams from around the world, to show the athletes what they can aspire to be as volleyball players. Camp also includes a tournament and a pizza party lunch on the last day.

Enhanced Performance Camp: This is offered for more advanced players.

This 3-day camp is for club level volleyball players who are looking prepare themselves for the upcoming season. It takes place in August before club team tryouts begin. It is open to both male and female athletes. This camp is all-encompassing. We focus on skills including:

  • Passing
  • Setting
  • Serving (float, spin, overhand, and jump serving)
  • Intro to plays (different sets and attacking from different positions, ex. step-around for middles)
  • Positioning
  • Proper warm up and game preparation
  • Strategy

Players are able to learn other position essentials and fine tune the key skills for their position as well. They also learn and practice plays with a variety of different sets. This camp is perfect for individual players or full teams to register for. Coaches for the Enhanced Performance Camp are all well-established, and prepared to work hard to ensure each player leaves learning something new and feeling confident for their upcoming season. Lunch time includes videos of some of the world's best teams playing in high level games, to set a constant reminder of how the campers should aspire to play. This camp includes a mini tournament in the afternoon of the last day and a pizza party lunch!
